Rental Cars
Renting a car is the best way to get around the island and to explore all that Acadia National Park has to offer. Hertz, Budget, Avis, and Alamo have office at the Bangor airport, while Hertz and Enterprise have offices at the Bar Harbor airport.
Taxis
There is limited taxi service on the island - we recommend At Your Service Taxi (207-288-9222). If you are planning to take a taxi to or from the Bangor or Bar Harbor airport, you must make a reservation in advance.
Please note, there currently is no Uber service on Mount Desert Island.
